At KB Spa, we use a vacuum therapy machine which delivers a customizable amount of soothing pressure and suction. Our cups range from a quarter inch glass to rounded 8″ silicone cups for large treatment areas. We use a rhythmic pulse setting that delivers intense and highly effective treatments. While the cups are doing their job, we are massaging and applying hot stones to deliver a truly transformative experience. The cupping, massage and hot stone combination relieves aches and pains by saturating your tissues with fresh blood while the cupping vacuum pulls old stagnant blood out of the area. You can see this in the hickey-like “cup kiss” appearance that is typically left behind.
Massage cupping:
- Relieves pain and inflammation
- Increases range of motion
- Improves circulation
- Lymphatic drainage
What is cupping?
Cupping is an ancient Egyptian form of body therapy traditionally performed with fire and glass jars. We use a vacuum cupping machine at KB Spa, which allows customizable pressure settings.
How does cupping feeling?
Cupping should feel like the most amazing sensation you have ever felt! It shouldn’t be painful, but will feel like a gentle lifting of tension from the body.
Where on my body can I get cupping?
I have cups that range in size from a quarter of an inch to 8-inch curved silicone cups. Common areas for cupping are shoulders, upper and lower back, gluteal muscles, hamstrings, IT bands, feet, hands, and forearms. Smaller glass jars can adapt to any sore joints, knees, ankles, and elbows. We also have special facial cups that leave your skin glowing and youthful, filling in fine lines and wrinkles.
